Dear Fish and Friends,
We were a lean team of lean Fish last night against the Straw Dogs, and we fought valiantly but just couldn’t pull a win out of our caps.
Highlights include Richie Rich’s home run woo hooo!!!; being blessed once again by the Abbate Trifecta of Matt, John, and Arthur; Liz “the Aggressorrrr” Agresta’s Catfish Debut!; NaSlamWell’s nuanced base running and the pickle he both landed himself in and got himself out of, between 2nd and 3rd; John Tslammy Tsai’s powerful bat and his stretchiness at 1st base; H-Bomb’s Hasley’s hustle behind and at the plate; and Jamie the J’amiable’s graceful performance in center field, taking many tumbles and performing the obligatory scraping of the knee to catch the uncountable fly balls that sailed out there.
In sum, this was a great warm-up game to a very promising season, which I am sure will go swimmingly.
