Dear Catfish Nation,
Fish and Friends have much to celebrate and be proud of, as we smashed the ADO Oafers last night with a gargantuan score of 24 – 14.
They had us a bit nervous at first, but we soon overcame our jitters. Fishes’ bats were afire, as the scoreboard shows. I believe everyone made it to base! Jon “Butters” Elwell stole the show with a double play and an in-the-park homerun. Thanks Buttery Butters! But all Fish shone, and as you can see from the photo-snaps, we were often bathed in a glorious beatific glow. Superb base-running and fielding by Pickles Picazio. Evan “The Beast” Mauser got a double and gobbled up the bases with a ferocious appetite. John “Tsunami” Tsai had a great snag on the pitcher’s mound and terrified them at the plate as per usual. Chrazy-Eyed Eyer’s bat was on fire and fielded fiercely at 3rd. John “The Butchie” Costello proved to us he is back with some fine smashes at the plate and feisty first-base fielding. Nate “The Lawyerator” Band ended the game for us with a stupendous catch in left field. Levi “The Leviathan” Rubeck is really digging this 2nd base business and he knows how to smash things at the plate. Richard “Rippity Rich” Wladkowski was 3 for 4 at the plate and they seemed to avoid his prowess in right field, so they must have been turrified of him, and rightfully so. Erin “The H-Bomb” Hasley was determined both at and behind the plate, showing us all how to hustle. Yaaaarchitect Laakso had some fine hits at the plate and hustled in the outfield. And Jamie “The Jamiable” Emerson had some fantastic catches, letting nothing get past his Fish-glove.
We even had fans, in the shape of the Littlest Catfish Edith Mauser and her mama, and Sharon Bandoo with Lil Bandoo! I’m pretty sure that the good luck they brought us secured our win. They are now obligated to attend every game to guarantee us a winning season. Thanks fans!
Please join us next week, June 25, when we face our pals ChemE Bound & Down. Until then, keep visualizing your positive thoughts, Fish!!
Happy weekends,
Judy
