Dear Fish and Friends,
It was a rough double-header last night against our pals the Whybunts, as the scores reveal. But there were some beautiful shining moments. The shiniest of all, we were pleased to welcome rookie Dan “The Mighty Bouch” Bouchard to the team, and most especially his companion, Maggie the Magickal Dancing Sprite. Her effervescence lifted our spirits continuously during these troubled games, as did the supportive presence of our owner Robley Elwell. Other highlights include the triumphant return of the the Battling Abbates, who had to take a few weeks off. Both battled well behind the plate and in the field. Erin the H-Bomb Hasley had two (2) catches behind home plate for 2 much-needed outs.
A miracle occurred in game 1: we were all looking at the current score of 12 – 2 with much chagrin, and NaSlamWell Trippe had a psychic premonition that, because their score was divisible by ours, good things were going to happen. He then proceeded to get a 2-run HOME RUN, chipping away at their lead! We were all much awed and have resolved to worship him as a god in future.
All Fish played their hearts out, so hats off as well to Larvitar Levi, Pickles Picazio, Tslammy Tsai, Chris “Stretchy” Eyer, Alexa the X Factor, Rallying Richard, and Liz the Aggressor Agresta. And a few of us did manage to befriend one of their team members, Alicat Alison, after the game at the Muddy. So perhaps we can steal her mojo!!!! And defeat them next year!!!
