CATFISH WIN AND NOT BY FORFEIT!!!!

Yes, it's true, the Catfish beat the Fowl Swingers by a score of 24 - 7.

This is truly a long time coming, Fish, a well-deserved win if there ever was one. Our might and power shone through in all its Glory!!

And it was a true team effort. None of it would have happened without:

Greg Dokshin's lead-off single in the 1st inning, as well as his fine pitching skills;
John Costello's superb catching in the outfield, and also his several gettings-on base;
Charles Hale's snappy defensive work at 1st base, and also his single and double;
Evan Mauser's GRAND SLAM!! in the 1st, to set to the tone for the rest of the game! (Greg on 1st, JC on 2nd, Charles on 3rd, and bLAMMO gram-slam!);
Butters's stupendous work at short stop, not to mention his hitting and aggressive base running, which earned him at least two triples;
Kate Caldwell's singles, and her fine pitching, which included sharp reflexes that allowed her to make some key outs;
Marc's fine batting, which included 2 base hits in the bottom of the 5th (during which we scored 10 runs!!);
Katie Helke's HOME RUN!!!! in the 5th;
José-Luis Herrero's solo HOME RUN!! in the 4th inning;
Nathan Hohenstein's fine batting, which got him on base at least 3 times;
David Weininger's superb running catches in short field, and his 2 doubles;
Erin Hasley's hustle to catch a pop-up in the 3rd, dashing from behind home plate down the 1st base line, as well as her batting skills which got her on base more than once (do the Hasley Hussle!!);
and even myself, who managed to get on base twice as well.

We also won with the blood, sweat, and tears in mind, and in our hearts, of those Catfish who were not able to play with us last night, but who have known the exquisite frustration yet sublime enlightenment of Catfish-being.

In sum: Fish got da POWah!!!!!!!! 24/7 baby!

Next game is Wednesday, June 3, field 1, vs. our nemeses the Shadow Masks. They shall quake to meet the stronger, wiser Catfish we have become.
